Have you ever been homeless or know of someone who has had to go through something as serious as that? Here’s a story of one man’s journey with a good ending.
A homeless man finally landed a job after donning a donated suit. According to KSL-TV in Salt Lake City, Brian Smith had been out of work since last February. He lost his home and wound up staying at hotels, in cars and on friends’ couches, all the while applying for jobs and being rejected. Smith’s luck turned when he saw an ad offering suits to homeless people to help them feel confident at job interviews. Amazingly, Smith got the suit last Saturday, interviewed for a job on Monday and got the job Tuesday.
When you hear of someone, something like this, it makes you realize just how luck you are! I’m curious as to whether there is a program in Vernon and or surrounding area that offers suits to the less fortunate? Perhaps you know?
