One of my favourite parts of the Vernon Winter Carnival is the Skating Party, as a kid I liked to dress up a lot, so any excuse to put on a costume was welcomed, even if it was stretched over a snow suit.
This photo is from 1994, so I was about two and a half years old, sporting an apron and pig tails, not sure what my costume was exactly, but I was dressed up nonetheless.
I’m also hanging with queen and princess Silver Star…you would think I would look more excited.
By the way…does anyone know who these people are? The back of the photo says Irish Fell…
So this is a bit of a throwback Thursday, but on a Wednesday. I hope you join the crew at the Outdoor rink tonight for one of my favourite events, the Costume Skating Party!
The event is free and starts at 6:00.
And please, have a better costume than me…
