I couldn’t be more excited for this – I really hope we find out that Jon and Daenerys are siblings and they take “Ice and Fire” to the next level.
This latest trailer does an excellent job of demonstrating how each family is inherently pitted against another (or every other in some cases) while tying it all together at the end. Winter is here, and there is only one war that matters …
We (I) have been waiting to know for sure when Season 7 was going to premiere. Typically Game of Thrones premieres in April, but for season 7, producers said they had to wait for the rainy season on their locations to capture the proper atmosphere. It is winter in the series after all, so the doom and gloom of the cloud cover was absolutely necessary to get the right feel.
July 16th for the premiere of Season 7 … is 4 months enough time to hype the show and get fans (me) worked up into a rich soapy lather?

When HBO made the announcement, they did so via Facebook Live stream. Viewers had to comment with “Fire” or “DRACARYS” to activate the fire necessary to melt the ice and reveal the premiere date. I thought it was a really creative way to do a reveal, but there were plenty of people who thought it was too much. Maybe, they’re just not as die hard as I am about it all.
