So, for sure, I thought this was stupid – then I really started to think about it, and it’s starting to make sense. If the socially responsible part of your company vision is to save gorillas, you need a super fun way to get it done. I think just about everyone supports the idea of philanthropy-we all love to support a good cause-but sometimes we’re just looking for more than just the warm fuzzy it creates.
The problem is that people, myself included, just don’t know what it takes to save gorillas. We do, however, know how to buy unimportant crap.
Here comes banana phone to save gorillas, and make good on the timeless joke of answering your food. It’s fun and functional, but largely unimportant. It’s preselling on Indiegogo for about $55 Canadian.
Pair your smart phone with your banana phone and there you go-answering your banana all over the house or office. And 1% of Banana Phone sales go to Gearing Up For Gorillas, a nonprofit that does the saving gorillas part… The rest of us get to do the Raffi part.
