Lumby Council has give three readings to a bylaw that will prevent people from feeding resident deer.
The issue came to light this summer when complaints came in about some people feeding deer.
Mayor Kevin Acton says he would have liked the bylaw to go further, including all wild animals.
” Apparently if you just get rid of the deer, then the rest of the issues disappear with them.”
There’s also concern about deer becoming aggressive and attacking pets or people if they become agitated.
