City of Vernon crews will be repairing 27 Street at the intersection of 43 Avenue starting September 16.
Crews will be onsite Saturday evening and working through to Sunday morning.
The base repairs are necessary before repaving to increase the lifespan of the road. Repairs are expected to take approximately one day to complete.
Traffic on 27 Street may be reduced to single lane or detoured to provide a safe and efficient worksite.
Traffic along 43 Avenue will be detoured and will not be allowed to cross the intersection.
“Every reasonable effort will be made to minimize the disruption to traffic, although motorists should be prepared for delays and detours,” says a City release. “We ask that the traveling public to be patient, slow down and obey all traffic control.”
