Do you ever listen to a newer song or new musical artist and think that it/they sound like someone else? Maybe you’ve heard newer bands who sound like 1970s/80s artists. Maybe you watch The Voice, America’s Got Talent and compared the talent to those established artists whose voices we’ve heard for years?
Well here’s some music to compare that is currently in the hot seat so to speak.
MARK RONSON is being sued over his collaboration with BRUNO MARS on ‘UPTOWN FUNK.’ The company that owns the rights to Zapp’s 1980 hit “More Bounce to the Ounce” claim that Ronson lifted their tune. They also note Ronson cited Zapp and frontman Roger Trautman as influences.
