Drink up! It’s National Coffee Day, and we’re celebrating with some wonderful news out of the University of Southampton….
Drinking coffee reduces your risk of developing liver cancer by up to 50%!
According to researcher Oliver Kennedy, “Coffee is widely believed to possess a range of health benefits, and these latest findings suggest it could have a significant effect on liver cancer risk.” Kennedy tells the Daily Mail, “We’re not suggesting that everyone should start drinking five cups of coffee per day, though. There needs to be more investigation into the potential harms of high coffee-caffeine intake, and there is evidence is should be avoided in certain groups such as pregnant women.”
The group’s official study found that drinking two cups of coffee reduces your risk of developing liver cancer. THAT should make that cup o’ joe go down even smoother this morning… ~ Jason
