Here it is, the day after Halloween. Treats are plentiful, and even though there are no intentions for Mom & Dad to pilfer a goodie or two….some exhaustive research shows that many do.
A survey by the Confectioners Association reveals that 80% of parents steal candy from their kids. 80%! Wow, nasty. Here are some other findings…see if you’re guilty on any of THESE;
- 25% of parents steal candy when their child is sleeping or at school
- 19% of parents lie about stealing candy
- 66% of parents purchased their favorite Halloween candy for distribution on October 31st.
That last one is very interesting – and while, at first glance, my initial thought was “oh, I don’t do THAT”…..the fact is, when you choose Halloween treats at the store, don’t you kinda lean towards the ones that YOU enjoy? Hmmmmmmmm…..
If you find yourself guilty of any or all of the above – don’t worry. It’s a most delicious crime. ~ Jason
