A 19 year old Vernon man is fine after being rescued from Cooke Mountain in the Kingfisher area of Enderby.
The man, who has been identified as Brett Lambert, was snowmobiling with a group of others on Sunday when he became separated from them.
Vernon Search and Rescue and RCMP began looking for him Sunday night, but had to call it off because of darkness.
An RCMP helicopter spotted Lambert Monday morning, and he was later airlifted out.
RCMP Constable Kelly Brett (pictured) says the teen is in good condition.
“This male is particularly lucky as he came out of this just being cold and tired, but otherwise in good condition, after his night’s stay in the mountain range,” says Brett. “This could have gone very differently, however the male was prepared.”
