Police in Delta are investigating after somebody got a little light lingered with a lot of light beer…nearly 26-hundred cases of Coors Light beer were stolen from a semi-trailer.
A truck trailer loaded with stacks and stacks of Coors Light beer, was allegedly stolen from a yard on Annacis Island last Saturday morning.
The security picture provided by Delta Police, shows a red semi-tractor hooking up and heading out with the liquid loot.
The trailer’s GPS system indicated the booze was then taken 20 kilometres to the 8000 block of Blundell Road in Richmond.
When they located it, not a can was left at the scene…at least not a full can anyway, which prompted the shipping company to call in the police.
Police say the 2,592 missing cases of beer are valued at about $155,000.
Police say to be on the lookout for cold beer… at a hot price.
