It’s been a long winter for us in the Okanagan, I won’t gripe too much because of the situation in Ottawa right now, but nevertheless…it felt like the snow would never go away and I just have to say I’m glad to see warmer temperatures.
So in honour of spring finally making an appearance I’ve decided to share with you a recipe that popped up on my news feed today…for spring rolls. Coincidence? I think not. “Hearty dishes warmed us up all winter, but now it’s time to cook with fresh, flavourful ingredients.” The recipe comes from Patience Fruit & Co. and you can find the link HERE.
The ingredients include tofu (which Jason says tastes like Play Doh) but I’m sure you can exchange it for your favourite protein if you’re not a fan, Personally I love tofu and think if done right it adds tons of flavour and texture. But you do you! Another thing I love about spring rolls is using rice paper, it’s fun to soak in water and easy to roll everything up in.
I know what I’m making for dinner this week, how about you?
