Everybody does a little spring cleaning and the City of Armstrong is no slouch in that regard.
The annual spring cleanup there takes place Saturday.
Mayor Chris Pieper is hoping people will come out and share their time for civic pride.
“The Baptist Church have undertaken for years under the leadership of Debbie Nelson to clean up our community. So everyone is meeting at 9 o’clock at the Baptist Church and Debbie is coordinating everybody to particular streets and avenues.”
He and other council members will be out as well to their share and with members of the community for what’s become a popular event over the years.
“It’s been very popular and appreciative of the community. We have areas that do collect a lot of rubbish over throughout the winter. Gives us an opportunity to give back to the community.”
