Police say a man and woman with links to Vernon have been found dead inside a home in Richmond.
RCMP received reports of gunshots at a residence on Eckersley Road early Monday, and later found the bodies of 36-year-old Keri Smith and 37-year-old Terrence Peter Smith inside.
“The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) is confirming that 36-year-old Keri Smith and 37-year-old Terrence Peter Smith were the victims of homicide,” says a news release from IHIT.
Mounties say the couple had recently moved to the Richmond area from Surrey, and also has ties to Vernon but don’t say what those are.
Both victims were known to police and investigators believe this was a targeted incident.
“It remains early in the investigation and police are working to determine motive,” says Corporal Frank Jang of the IHIT.
