The Boucherie Fire was quiet overnight and firefighters continued suppression and mop-up activities. The estimated size of the fire remains 5 hectares.
A fire guard now surrounds the perimeter of the fire. Smoke and flame may be visible and crews from West Kelowna Fire Rescue and the BC Wildfire Service will be working today to put out hot spots within the fire area. No structures were damaged and there were no injuries reported.
There are NO evacuation orders or evacuation alerts in place.
The investigation into the cause of the fire will be ongoing today, with Fire Investigators on scene this morning.

Crews made good progress on the Boucherie Fire last evening. The fire is guarded and firefighters remained on scene overnight.
The residents of Royal Gala Dr and Gala View Drive as well as the Mission Hill Winery who were tactically evacuated were allowed to return to their homes at 11 pm once firefighters wrapped up in their neighbourhood.
There were 50 personnel on scene from West Kelowna Fire Rescue, Peachland Fire Rescue, Kelowna Fire Department, BC Wildfire Service, RCMP, WFN Law Enforcement and the BC Ambulance.
Air support from the BC Wildfire Service was requested and arrived on scene. It was determined that ground crews were making good progress and air support was not required.
The fire was estimated to be 5 hectares in size and is not spreading at this time, although active fire will visible today.
The public is thanked for their cooperation. The fire remains under investigation. There were no structures damaged and no injuries reported.
