A Vernon impaired driving case has come to an end in the courts.
41 year old Kimberly Tennille Mann had been facing two charges of care and control of a vehicle while impaired, and care and control of vehicle while over.08, after a car crashed into a pole on Alexis Park Drive in February.
Police said at the time, the driver had blood-alcohol readings three times over the legal limit.
The Crown entered a stay of proceedings on both charges this week.
Crown spokesperson Dan McLaughlin says the stay was entered following a review of the file and available evidence.
“Following this review the Crown concluded that the charge assessment standard could not no longer be met. Under these circumstances a stay is the appropriate course of action,” said McLaughlin in an email to Beach Radio News.
Police said back in February, the driver suffered minor injuries in the crash while the vehicle sustained significant damage.
