Do you know someone in our province who has made a significant contribution to the sports landscape in BC that deserves to be honoured?
On the heels of the successfully completed 2018 Induction Gala, the BC Sports Hall of Fame is calling on members of the public for nominations for its 2019 Induction class, the 53rd in the history of the Hall.
The deadline for nominations is September 1, 2018 and the 53rd induction class will be announced in the fall. Induction will take place at the annual Induction Gala, presented by Victory Square Technologies, Inc. in spring of 2019.
Jim Lightbody, CEO of BCLC and Chair of the BC Sports Hall of Fame, says: “British Columbia has had an astounding group of athletes represent our province at home and abroad and the BC Sports Hall of Fame honours their accomplishments and inspires the next generation to pursue their dreams. If you know someone who deserves to be recognized, we encourage you to nominate them for induction in the BC Sports Hall of Fame, where our province can celebrate their achievements.”
The BC Sports Hall of Fame preserves and honours BC’s sport heritage by recognizing extraordinary achievements in sport. All nominees must have attained a high level of excellence and have brought honour to BC sport through their passion, commitment and dedication to sport.
