I was eight years old the year I became Batman. I didn’t take a quite this far.
This man, a self proclaimed ninja – that is a practitioner of martial art of ninjutsu – patrols the streets of Brampton Ontario in the evenings. He does this as Batman. He has a Batmobile, a cape, a cowl, and the appropriate armor to stop knives and bullets, or so it would seem.
Cosplay is one thing, but this is on a different level.
Let’s be clear, in no way shape or form am I judging – seriously. I really understand what this guy is saying on a philosophical level. But the practicality of actually becoming and operating as Batman is a massive undertaking. How sustainable is it, I wonder? When you watch the video, the guy seems pretty dedicated.
And then again, maybe this guy is on to something.
Does Vernon needs a Batman?
And maybe that 8 year old in me is still alive … maybe “I’m Batman.”
