It may be almost August, but there is still plenty of summer left. I realized this yesterday when I spent the entire day boating on Kal Lake and would up with a pre heat stroke headache and the nicest sun-glass tan you’ve ever seen. (Which I may or may not share a photo of.)
I put sunscreen on my arms, legs, back and even the top of my feet, but I’m always a little skeptical to lather it on my face, mostly because I have sensitive skin and don’t want to break out, so I kept my great big shades on the whole time.
This resulted in slightly burnt cheeks, a very pink forehead, and lots of aloe vera. So as an afterthought, I’m creating a sun wise blog for Jen’s Favourite Thing’s today. Everything to protect you from the sun, because we all know how hot Okanagan summers can get.
Not only do they look super cool, but more importantly they protect your eyes from UV rays, find this pair HERE.
As I mentioned before, I don’t like putting sunscreen on my face, but reviews on Amazong say this product is break out free and bonus, doesn’t really smell like sunscreen, you can find it .HERE
As much as I love what the sun does to my hair, I don’t enjoy going to bed with a cold compress on my forehead because of a heat headache, this bad boy will keep you covered in 360 degrees and folds up nicely to store in your purse, find it HERE.
So hopefully you are smarter than me the next time you head out and enjoy the sunshine ( I thought I was a seasoned vet when it came of Okanagan Summers!). Oh and since you’ve stuck around this long, here is a photo of my hot sunglass tan from yesterday 🙂
