Mel Tillis, one of country music’s biggest, lovable stars has died.
Mel Tillis, who wrote hits for Kenny Rogers, Ricky Skaggs and many others was 85.
Mel’s stuttering was his trademark, that he would poke fun at himself about regularly. Ironically enough this speech impediment was non existent while he was singing.
A statement from his spokesman says Tillis died of suspected respiratory failure
