The Enderby Farmer’s Market may have a new home.
It’s been in the downtown for years and after spending the winter at the Splatsin Centre, it is negotiating with the Splatsin to move there permanently.
Enderby Mayor Greg McCune says their winter markets have been successful so it makes sense and that can only help the region.
“Exactly. You know that’s how we have to look at it. They’re a great group and they deserve the successes they’re getting. The Splatsin Centre allows them to operate all winter long and the numbers have been fantastic this winter. we wish them the best.
McCune says other events will be planned, including a type of youth expo market
“So whether we get doing that through the summer, where we bring younger people downto sell their art and some of the stuff they’re involved in business wise.”
The market has moved around in Enderby’s core and was looking for a permanent home.
