Do you take selfies or do you prefer to share photos of what you’ve seen that’s inspired you? Today we have a bit of both. These first two photos, well many thought they were fake are indeed real. They were taken in space by SpaceX.
Yesterday as Brian Resnick explained on VOX.com “Elon Musk launched a Tesla Roadster into orbit. Yes, an actual car launched at a speed of 18,000 mph and was cruising around Earth. You can watch the replay of the live stream right here of the cherry-red Tesla convertible (with the top down!) with the entire planet Earth in its view. It’s helmed by a dummy in a spacesuit that Musk is calling “Starman” in a nod to David Bowie.” Note the “Don’t Panic” sign to the right of the steering wheel!!!!!!

Here back on Earth, we’re always looking for your amazing “out of this world”photos. Thanks to 1075 BEACH RADIO texters for sharing their photos of the Vernon Winter Carnival Parade and the Snow Sculpture competition at Silverstar Mountain.
Jay Laflemme was “in the parade with the Vernon ATV club representing the Vernon Off Road Motorcycle Club. Several of his friends/parade participants passed these photos on to him to share. As he says “Here are some good shots of the Vernon Winter Carnival Parade 2018”
1075 BEACH RADIO Texter Dave Drake also shared these parade photos. He’s “lived in Vernon since 1972, so “CJIB” is the only station. Dave also has a real sense of Vernon pride.
