RDNO directors have given formal approval to an adjustment in cost sharing for transit service.
The city of Armstrong requested a review, feeling it’s percentage of the costs was too much.
RDNO Board Chair Bob Fleming says Armstrong had been stuck for years at roughly a 25 per cent share.
“There has been since 2008 no mechanism for review of those rates. So that means for nine years they’ve been locked in at what they are and the feeling was ridership and use has changed over time.”
The other communities volunteered to raise their shares by one per cent, while Armstrong went down about 4 and a half per cent
