The Mayor of Armstrong is sorry to see RCMP Superintendent Jim McNamara leave.
McNamara, who has been Superintendent for 2 years, ends his 33 year career as a Mountie this week.
Chris Pieper wishes him well
“We’ve worked real well with the RCMP. He’s been our Superintendent. Prior to that an Inspector. I’m glad he has the opportunity to retire when he’s healthy and young and wish he was going to be staying here.”
Pieper says he’s had great respect for McNamara’s judgement and says McNamara has represented the force well
“I think the biggest thing that he’s brought is the confidence of the RCMP to our community. He was a very good RCMP status symbol I believe.”
Pieper says McNamara has always been very positive in leadership and he has enjoyed working with him.
