A man accused of stealing lottery tickets has been sentenced in provincial court.
37 year old Dean Amendt plead guilty to 14 theft charges and one of mischief for files in Vernon, Kelowna and Enderby in Kelowna Thursday.
He was given a 25 day jail sentence and 18 months of probation.
Police say Amendt stole about $500 worth of lottery tickets from the Co-op gas station in Vernon in December.
He was arrested the next day after being identified using the store’s surveillance system.
He was also a suspect in several other lottery ticket thefts in the area.
