Constable Kelly Brett says the vehicle collided with a residence, but its not confirmed if any residents were nearby.
“From my understanding, it did crash into some sort of a living space or a living area,” Brett tells Beach Radio News.
No one was injured, but the vehicle and residence sustained extensive damages.
“I can’t confirm because I don’t have those details from the lead investigator, but, from my understanding, there has been people displaced from that residence,” says Brett.
The driver, a 26 year old Quebec man, remained at the scene and was cooperative.
Brett says drugs and alcohol were not factors, and the driver was charged under the Motor Vehicle Act.
“The driver, residents of the effected home and other motorists are extremely lucky no one was injured as a result of this collision,” says Brett.
It’s been a busy morning already for RCMP and Vernon fire crews.
