As someone who looks for the art in everything, I find this particular intersection of science and art fascinating. John Muntean creates art based on something called “The Magic Angle.” I am truly terrible at the maths, so the hard science bit is a little lost on me, but he certainly gets my attention when he starts talking about “perspective.” A simple rotation of 120° can change the projected shadow of these sculptures, while seeing the world through somebody else’s eyes, can change a person’s outlook on life.
Anyone have a little perspective on Monday?
Muntean creates these pieces from wood, and sometimes from Lego – these ones can take months to build. You can see more of his work here and maybe change your own perspective.
