Were you beaching like I was over the weekend? The sun finally came out and the water was calm and many enjoyed the Okanagan beaches. It was my daoughter’s 14th birthday party and we rented a huge paddle board for 10 people. The girls had so much fun on it, that I didn’t get to try it out, but I did enjoy the sights and sounds of the beach and the lake. I’m just curious though, when you go to the beach, what do you take to amuse yourself? Or maybe you take as little as possible, just to unwind? TALK or TEXT 250-545-7557. Many amused themselves this past week on National Seashell Day by breaking a Guiness World Record in the U.S.. Tourism officials at the beaches of Fort Myers and Sanibel in Florida got 1,093 people together to break the Guinness World Record for largest human image of a seashell. Guinness World Records officials were on hand last Thursday to verify the record by using a camera drone to photograph and confirm the numbers. The previous record was 855 people, set last October by the Shell Oil Co.
Maybe we should get a bunch together to spell out Kal Beach, or Vernon, or Kalamalke Lake? Would you be a part of it if we did?
