Police in Kelowna are investigating a suspected case of mischief after a woman discovered a bullet hole in the side of her car.
The woman says she heard a loud bang on the passenger side of her car last Thursday on Benvoulin Road which she thought was a thrown rock, but later was shocked to find the remnants of a bullet lodged in her car door.
Police are still trying to determine where the bullet came from.
“It is unclear as to where the bullet originated from, and no one has yet come forward to speak with police,” says RCMP Cpl Jesse O’Donaghey. “However, Kelowna RCMP IFIS (Integrated Forensic Identification Services) has become involved in the case. Forensic investigators have seized the bullet, since recovered from the woman’s vehicle, for examination, as they look for clues to hopefully help them identify the person who may be behind this reckless incident.”
