The overdose crisis in British Columbia continues unabated.
The BC Coroners Service says there were 105 illicit drug overdose deaths across the province in June.
While that number is down by 18 compared to the same time last year, the coroner says the numbers remain high.
Within the Interior Health Authority, 24 people died from illegal drug ODs in June.
The coroner says approximately 75 percent of OD deaths between 2016 up to now have been connected to the use of fentanyl.
Approximately 80 percent of those who died were male.
During the first six months of this year, 11 people died of illicit drug ODs in Vernon, the report states.
