With conditions tinder dry all over the Southern part of our province it`s essential that crews get on fires early.
Such was the case late yesterday afternoon as the Oliver Fire Dept and BC Wildfire Service contained a fire that began on Oliver Mountain.
According to Oliver Fire Dept. Facebook page the quick response from BC Wildfire Service as well as their crews…this fire was contained early.
Two OFD crews got hot spots out and performed sweeps of the area. The fire is classified as burnt out there are retardant guards on all sides
A quick check with BC Wildfire Service indicates the fire, believed to be human-caused.
