Fans love to be close to the action. But one particular booster for the NFL’s Steelers took things waaaaaay too far over the weekend.
As you can see from the video below, a Steelers fan somehow got by security and onto the field in full uniform at Saturday’s training camp practice, all in an attempt to work out with the team (specifically wide receiver Antonio Brown) before being exposed.
The fan wore yellow football pants, a yellow jersey and a helmet as he tried to take part in drills at the beginning of practice. It remains unknown how he got past the guards, though it didn’t take long for the Steelers players to notice the imposter, and really……it wasn’t that tough; dude was wearing a No. 43 jersey, and Troy Polamalu, who sported that digit, retired after the 2014 season.
The fan, whose name remains unknown, was later escorted off the Saint Vincent College campus, shortly before 4pm ET. It remains unclear if he will face any charges.
Perhaps he thought it would be his big break into professional football (??) Odd way to go about it. ~ Jason
