In 32 tries, the Cleveland Browns have but one win in the last two seasons. That’s pretty bad – but long suffering Browns fans finally have a reason to cheer should their team hit the ‘W’ column this year.
In an attempt to get fans excited about the 2018 season – and to pump up belief that a win is on the horizon – the Browns unveiled the ‘Victory Fridge’ in partnership with Bud Light in ten Cleveland-area bars. The first regular season win of 2018 will unlock the fridges and patrons inside the bars when the game clock strikes zero will be able to enjoy the free drinks. Oh, and if there is a lengthy wait for the first win? (Hey, it IS Cleveland, after all.) The beer will be changed out every month to guarantee freshness.
The Browns open 2018 against the Steelers (ouch!), Saints (sorry fans, no brew for you), Jets (Gang Green ain’t great, but improving), Raiders (maybe, but probably not), Ravens (getting thirsty yet, Cleveland?), and Chargers (uhh….no). Week 7 against the Buccaneers looks to be the best shot of the Browns crackin’ open that victory fridge for their fans – but if we’ve learned anything over the last few years, the only thing this team is really proficient at is breaking hearts. ~ Jason
