He tried to get away twice but a Falkland man wanted on several outstanding warrants was finally captured by police last week.
Police say 28-year-old Jordan McCann was spotted in an uninsured vehicle in Enderby on August 7th.
When an officer tried to stop the car, the driver is alleged to have veered around the cop car and taken off at a high rate of speed.
However, the vehicle and driver were located at residence in the 1900 block of George Street within 20 minutes where the man was arrested.
Police say the suspect then broke free of officers and tried to flee on foot but was quickly captured.
McCann has been charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, flight from a peace officer, driving while prohibited, escape from lawful custody, and wilfully resisting or obstructing a peace officer.
He is scheduled to appear in Vernon provincial court on August 23.
