Here’s another really easy recipe that my brothers and I loved as kids from my Aunt Valerie O’Hara. It sort of looks like what’s in this photo!

First make a medium white sauce
2 tbsps melted butter
Combine 2 tbsp flour, 1/2 tsp salt, a few grains of pepper and paprika and blend into butter until smooth.
Remove from heat and add 1 cup milk gradually stirring contstantly. Return to heat and stir until smoothly thickened.
Add 1/1/2 tsp chopped onion
1/4 tsp dry mustard
One 5 oz can drained shrimp.
Spoon hot misture over open faced hamburger buns. You can double the recipe easily.
Cover with grated cheese.
Put under the broiler until bubbly and cheese is melted.
Serve with a tossed salad. It’s nice for a “light” meal.
