Hey, it’s a living.
A married mom of three in Australia has carved out quite the career for herself – she hugs total strangers and rakes in the cash. A LOT of cash!
Jessica O’Neill started professional cuddling six months ago and clears $1,100 per week from her unusual job. She spent a decade working as a massage therapist and counselor before adding cuddles to the treatment list at her studio in Gold Coast, Queensland. O’Neill claims the hugs, which cost upwards of $60 per hour, help lonely people and those suffering from depression feel loved and valued.
“I’ve always been an affectionate person and have always cuddled people,” she tells local media. “It’s just in my nature, part of who I am.” Jessica says that her mother was super affectionate and loving, and her hugs “always made everything okay, even if there were bad things happening.”
Interesting. Anyone need a hug? Seems it’s gonna cost ya… ~ Jason
