A familiar face is helping to organize a popular event at the O’Keefe Ranch.
Glen Taylor suffered a serious spinal injury one year ago while working at the ranch.
He says the accident left him a quadriplegic, but he has since regained some mobility, and his injuries are now classified as “incomplete.”
“The complete injuries would be a severed spinal column , and then there is no recovery, where an incomplete is when the spinal column has been damaged, but it hasn’t been severed,” Taylor explains.
Taylor is helping to manage the ranch’s “Field of Screams” fundraiser which returns for its sixth year October 12th, and runs for 13 nights.
“I’ve been happy to be out there, and there’s been no issues for me whatsoever. It’s been a great boost for me,” he tells Beach Radio News.
Taylor says he’s still quite involved with therapy, and his duties at the ranch will be reviewed later.
Taylor is also seeking another term on Coldstream council.
“I’ve always enjoyed being on there. I like being part of the decisions being made for the community.”
