A video is going viral of a TV weatherman battling gale-force-winds during Hurricane Florence. Trouble is, some background pedestrians seem to suggest that dude was working his thespian skills just a wee bit.
The Weather Channel’s Mike Seidel was seemingly struggling to stay upright as he filmed a piece over the weekend in North Carolina…..but in the middle of his report, two dudes calmly strolled past behind him. Speaking as he fought to stay in shot, he mentioned that “this is as nasty as its been!”, yet all the while, viewers can plainly see the pair walking in a row behind him, unaffected by the wind.
The bizarre video has racked up millions of Facebook views, causing some to wonder Seidel’s validity. A spokesperson for the Weather Channel said, “It is important to note that the two individuals in the background are walking on concrete, and Mike is trying to maintain his footing on wet grass, after reporting on-air until 1AM this morning. He’s undoubtedly exhausted.”
Funny they should mention ‘doubt’. ‘Cause I really, really doubt that Seidel is in THAT big of a fight with the elements.
Take a look. What do you think? Courageous reporting? Or big faker? ~ Jason
