Sometimes you just really want to re-connect with someone after meeting them by chance, but you have limited information about them.
That’s what happened to Carlos Zetina, a student at the University of Calgary, after he hit it off with a woman named Nicole at a local bar, and the phone number she gave him didn’t work. To remedy the issue, Zetina checked his school directory and emailed all 247 Nicole’s in a single email that allowed them to see each other’s email addresses.
In the email was the line, “If you don’t fit this description, then ignore and if you are the one and just don’t want to talk to me, that’s OK as well”. The women all created their own Facebook group called ‘Nicole From Last Night’, and nearly 40 of the Nicole’s attended a meet-up event. Zetina’s intended Nicole didn’t get the email, but she found out about the Facebook group. She claims she gave Zetina her real phone number, and the two eventually connected and went out as friends.
