Crews had to clean-up some spilled fuel after an accident at a Vernon road project.
The City says a steam roller hit a parking meter on 31st Street near the Civic Complex around noon, spilling about 70 litres of bio-diesel.
“The product is low harm and the spill did not reach the storm water system, so it was cleaned up quickly and effectively,” says City spokesperson Nick Nilsen.
An absorbent was put down on the street to suck up the liquid.
