Yesterday, we introduced you to a rather freaky looking NHL mascot. Today, it’s a significantly more cuddly mascot on display – unfortunately, the poor guy suffered quite the mishap this past weekend.
Chip, the University of Colorado mascot for football’s Buffaloes, nearly lost his Rocky Mountain Oysters.
Chip……well, the unfortunate person wearing his costume….accidentally blasted himself in the groin with a T-shirt cannon during Colorado’s football game against the University of New Hampshire. As you can see from the video, Chip went down hard, getting carted off Folsom Field in Boulder.
Predictably, Twitter buzzed about his misfortune. Y’know……fill in your own joke here kind of stuff.
Thankfully, the misfire didn’t keep Chip away from the sideline for long, however, as he eventually returned to see his team win 45-14. And that, my friends, is taking one for the team!
Oh, as for ‘Gritty’, the aforementioned new mascot for the Philadelphia Flyers? The gruesome Youppi knockoff had an eventful debut for the home team last night, dancing, cheering….and falling on his keester. Check out the highlights….
