The Vernon and Area Pro Life Society will hold its annual Life Chain this Sunday at 32nd Street and 32nd Avenue from 2 to 3 pm.
It’s a public demonstration against abortion held in 1,600 locations in the U.S. and Canada, with over 100 people expected to take part in Vernon.
“Life Chain started in California in the late 1980’s and has been held every year since,” says Society President Donald John. “Here in Vernon, the pro-life community has faithfully participated, standing united in proclaiming year after year that abortion kills children and hurts women.”
“It’s been over 49 years since the practice of abortion was legalized in Canada. Those who recognize the injustice of ending the life of a pre-born child have been speaking out for the dignity and value of human life from conception to natural death ever since,” says John.
John says members of the public who believe that both human life and human rights begin at conception are invited to take part in Life Chain 2018.
