We can all agree that kids do some pretty crazy things. It’s no use trying to figure out why, those little brains aren’t fully developed and honestly it’s pretty funny most of the time…key word most. Two parents are laughing now, but they weren’t when they first found out that their toddler shredded some money they had saved up.
How much money? $1060. The pair said in a post on Twitter that they were saving money to pay for football tickets and had been storing it in an envelope. When the time came to use the cash, they couldn’t find it.
So me and my wife had been saving up to pay for our @Utah_Football tickets in cash. We pulled our money out yesterday to pay my mom for the season... Well we couldn’t find the envelope until my wife checked the shredder. Yup. 2 year old shredded $1,060. pic.twitter.com/93R9BWAVDE— BB (@Benbelnap) October 2, 2018
I’m sure the kid thought he was being helpful…hopefully. The good news is the family can submit the money to the US Department of Treasury Mutilated Currency Division for exchange. So now they aren’t out a thousand bucks, they just have a funny story to tell.
