Yesterday Jason wrote a blog about some pretty questionable potato chip flavours that are coming to shelves this holiday season, if you missed it, imagine chomping down on a Christmas Tree chip, or just read the story HERE.
Well it reminded me of something I saw a few days ago about a grocery store in the UK selling an interesting type of tea. And when I say interesting, I really mean gross and unthinkable: brussel sprout tea.
The reaction has been mixed…most people on social media saying it’s an abomination of tea, and others saying they might just give it a try. But if green vegetable tea weren’t bad enough, Sainsbury’s has also introduced another flavour: pigs in a blanket tea. Yes, hot dogs wrapped in pastry flavoured tea.
I’m not a tea snob by any means, but I do know this isn’t what tea is supposed to be…on the other hand, I have willingly eaten a ‘Bertie Bots Every Flavour Bean’ before that tasted like dirt. So my guess is that these new tea flavours are more of a gag gift than anything.
