Officials have confirmed the remains found at a plane crash site near Revelstoke were an Alberta man and his girlfriend.
28 year old Dominic Neron and 31 year old Ashley Bourgeault went missing on a flight from Penticton to Edmonton last November.
The wreckage of a similar plane was spotted from the air by a BC Ambulance helicopter in Glacier National Park, 60 km’s east of Revelstoke, in September.
“Through DNA testing of the remains found at the plane crash site, the Revelstoke RCMP and BC Coroners Service have confirmed the identity of the remains as those of the two known occupants who were reported missing on November 25, 2017,” says RCMP Cpl. Dan Moskaluk.
No further information is being released.
It’s not known what caused the crash.
