Highway 97 south of Vernon Friday morning after first snowfall of the season. (Drive BC)
It looks like the worst of the season’s first snowfall is over — at least in the Vernon area.
The snow started falling this morning, and estimates from around the area suggest anywhere from 2 to 5 cm’s has hit the ground.
Some drivers were caught by surprise and didn’t have their winter tires on, so tire shops are busy today.
There was several reports of vehicles in the ditch around the area.
Beach Radio News has a message into Vernon RCMP to find out more about the incidents this morning.
