A few weeks ago we talked about how “eating season” had just begun…you know, first comes Thanksgiving, then Halloween, then Girl Scout cookies, then it’s almost Christmas and you didn’t even have a chance to get your eating habits back on track. Well a new study confirms that we’ve lost all hope…45% of those polled said they are waiting until AFTER the holidays are over to lose weight or start eating better.
The study by Herbalife Nutrition also found that the average person gains 6 lbs in Holiday weight and only 12% make it through the “eating season” without any weight gain at all. With all the overindulging, it’s worth noting the quote from Dr. John Agwunobi, co-president and chief health and nutrition officer at Herbalife Nutrition; “While resolutions are a great way to kick start a healthy year, a healthy diet is a long-term solution that you’ll want and need to practice steadily – for days, weeks and months – for lasting results.”
Everything in moderation!
