Emergency responders worked together to rescue a crash victim on Highway 97 north of Vernon today.
A truck had left the road and rolled several times down a steep bank, trapping one person inside the vehicle.
The City says four Vernon Fire Rescue members attended to provide technical rope rescue and extricated the occupant.
BC Ambulance took the patient to hospital, with the RCMP and Okanagan Indian Band Fire Services also provided support.
“Calls which require multi-agency response are common in our region,” says Vernon Fire Rescue Services Chief David Lind. “I am always impressed when our agencies come together and work towards the common goal, providing excellent service to the public.”
