There aren’t really any rules for Christmas anymore, some of us open all the presents on the 24th, some jet off to Mexico and don’t even do gifts. But according to a website called the Tatler, it’s vulgar and unbridled to open your gifts before breakfast.
Yes that’s right, vulgar. The article titled “When to open your presents and how to pretend you like them” is getting a lot of attention online.
“For presents under the tree it is generally considered more acceptable to wait until that lull between the morning church service and lunch.” They then go on to say that it’s best to wait until after lunch, but do admit it’s a struggle to do that with small children.
So…when do you open your Christmas gifts?
