There is more snow on the way for the North Okanagan — and that means snow plows and trucks will be out on local streets.
The City of Armstrong is reminding residents to remove all parked vehicles from city streets to assist in the snow removal.
Those vehicles interfere with the clean up, and under a traffic and parking bylaw, the City has the authority to tow vehicles at the owner’s expense, if needed.
“Vehicles parked on any street within the City create unsafe conditions and will cause interference with plowing, hauling, sanding and the maintenance required for our snow removal program, says Warren Smith, Community Services Manager. “Uncleaned sections of the roadway create hazards for pedestrians, other vehicles and first responders.”
